हिरण्यमनलं वन्दे समृद्धं विश्वतोमुखम् ॥

Soma Yaga is one of the most important Yaga in the yagna culture. Agnishtoma Soma Yagam is the very important one among seven soma yagas and very rare in Kerala and for the first time in 200 years in North Kerala.
Kaithapram, a beautiful village in Kannur District, Kerala will be hosting the yaga during 30th April – 5th May 2023!

The Agniadhanam – indicating the start of the Yaga is being performed on 2nd and 3rd May 2022.

The Yajamanan & Pathanadi

Dr. Vishnu Nmboodiri K and his wife Dr. Usha Antharjam will adorn the position of Yajamana and Pathanadi of the yaga. Dr.Vishnu Namboodiri, Kombankulam Illam, is a Sanskrist scholar and Director of Payyannur regional centre, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit.

यज्ञेन यज्ञमयजन्त देवाः तानि धर्माणि प्रथमान्यासन्

यज्ञसंस्कृतिर्हि भारतसंस्कृतेरात्मा । भगवद्गीतासूच्यते -
सहयज्ञाः प्रजाः सृष्ट्वा पुरोवाच प्रजापतिः अनेन प्रसविष्यध्वमेष वोस्त्विष्टकामधुक्
देवान् भावयतानेन ते देवा भावयन्तु वः परस्परं भावयन्तः श्रेयः परमवाप्स्यथ – इति ।
